An accomplished senior factual producer with high-level development experience
Felipe Giaj-Levra is a documentarian born in Brazil in 1983. Graduated in Filmmaking in 2005, he’s been working as a Director, Screenwriter, Story Producer and Story Editor for broadcast channels such as MTV, HBO and Discovery Networks. Since 2011, he specialized himself in the docu-reality genre for cable and streaming. He’s been involved in many production styles, such as lifestyle, crime, motor and even survival (Naked and Afraid). During that time, he’s become a trusted Discovery Networks partner.
In 2023, Felipe immigrated to Canada to begin a new chapter of his professional life. In 2025, he worked with Albireo Films as their Story Editor and Executive Producer for their film We Lend a Hand – The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes, a feature doc that tells the extraordinary story of a contingent of 40,000 teenage girls who volunteered on Canadian farms and helped to win the Second World War.
He created and showran Eyes of the Law for WBD and their platform HBO Max. In 2025, he also premiered the short documentary Tony D’Souza, about a local pediatrician that deals with kids and their serious mental health issues and uses gardening to decompress. The film has been awarded by the Stratford Film Festival with an honourable mention, and has been selected by Chatham-Kent and Brampton Film Festival, where Felipe got an award for best first time filmmaker.
